This is amazing! I found http://am.translit.cc/ which translates English into Armenian , RussianGreek. I came across this link on Marika Eva's blog (she ALWAYS has such interesting posts about Armenia, Georgia and Russia-she's from Montreal and I would love to sit and talk with her one day!)
Anyway since I do not have an Armenian keyboard-this is amazing. I just type what I want then translate and copy and paste! Yay!!

  3. Here is my husband's favorite soup
Chakhokhbili – Chicken onion soup - Armenia

    4 - 6 servings

    Ingredients:
3-4 pieces of chicken cooked and shredded and the broth saved
2-3 heads of onion quartered and then sliced
    1 TB flour for thickening
2-3 TB oil (my choices are olive or canola oil)
1 small can of tomato sauce – 6-8oz(?) OR 2 TB tomato paste
    1 tsp. paprika
    basil
fresh or dry parsley (I prefer fresh)
    salt and pepper to taste

    Directions:
In a medium big saucepan heat oil over medium heat and add sliced onions by layers. Put the first layer to cover the bottom of the pan and add a pinch of salt. Layer up the same way until the onions are gone into the pan. Don’t stir them for 5-10 minutes depending on the pan material. Then stir once in a while until they are golden brown. Add flour, stir well, then add paprika, basil, pepper, dry parsley (if it’s fresh, add it after the soup is cooked just before turning off the stove) and tomato sauce. Add chredded chicken and it’s broth to browned onions. Cook for 5 minutes.

    Bon Appetite!
